All-County Music Festival Highlights

Posted Date: 11/17/25 (3:29 PM)

On Friday, November 14, Hauppauge High School hosted the 67th Annual Senior High School All-County Music Festival, presented by NYSCAME (New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education, Suffolk Chapter) and SCMEA (Suffolk County Music Educators Association). Students from across Suffolk County auditioned for the honor of participating in this prestigious event.

Wyandanch Memorial High School proudly had two outstanding students selected for the All-County Mixed Choir: Jermaine Brown and Taliyah Knight. The ensemble was led by guest conductor Dr. Mark Boyle, Director of Choral and Vocal Activities at Seton Hill University. Dr. Boyle’s dynamic leadership and vast choral expertise created a powerful and enriching musical experience for all performers.

The choir presented a beautiful program featuring Randall Thompson’s “Choosing Something Like a Star,” Andrea Ramsey’s “There Has to Be a Song,” and a nostalgic favorite, “It’s You I Like” by Fred Rogers, arranged by Dr. Boyle himself.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jermaine and Taliyah for their dedication, artistry, and exceptional representation of the Wyandanch School District at this distinguished festival. Their hard work and musical excellence continue to make us incredibly proud.
